Like everyone else - we love a viral hack moment.

Especially when it comes to the fit.

What we also love is TikTok and the abundance of information that can be found on the app.

We've learnt some disturbing facts about junk food and also discovered some interesting things about our own bodies!

But the latest viral trend we've seen on TikTok is the disappearing waist dress.

TikToker @xojemian recently posted a video of her trying on a Fashion Nova dress that had viewers questioning what they were seeing.

The hype was so much that the dress almost immediately sold out after the video started capturing everyone's attention.

In the video, you can see Jem wearing the dress as she pulls the middle "belt" part across her body.

All of a sudden her waist seems to shrink to an impossible size.

What magic is this?!

While many were scratching their heads, others were in the comments section giving away the "secrets" behind the magic dress.

One of the main theories mentioned by a few users was that the dark doorway behind Jem creates a dark background which, when combined with the darker coloured patterns around the waist area, allows the two to blend together and it makes it seem like the waist is incredibly cinched.

Jem even responded to one of the comments saying: "Don't give away the illusion!"
