Wanted Durban North housebreaking suspect on the loose

Barrat is due to stand trial on three counts of housebreaking in the Greenwood Park area, in Durban North.KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele says Barrat was being held in connection with a house breaking he allegedly committed years ago.

It is understood Barrat needed medical treatment and was admitted to hospital for burn wounds.Mbele says he had broken a cell window and set his mattress alight.

Barrat has been described as a tall, thin man and is being profiled for other cases.RT #sapsKZN #Escapee sought. Police believe he might be hiding in the Durban North, Greenwood Park, Umbilo or Mandeni areas.
