PHOTOS: Four hurt in horror multi-vehicle crash in Durban

Three vehicles collided on near the Umhlanga turn-off to the M41 at around 10am this morning.

Emergency services say all injuries were serious in nature.Rescue Care and Crisis Medical paramedics stabilised all the injured patients before they were taken to hospital.
Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says the Jaws of Life and other hydraulic equipment had to be used to cut one man from the wreckage.

The Lenmed 1 Aeromedical Helicopter had to land on the freeway to assist in transporting him to hospital.The freeway had to be closed for several hours while emergency services worked to clear the scene.
The freeway has since been reopened to traffic.

It is unclear at this stage what caused the crash.
