Breast cancer: Jessie J shares update after surgery

Jessie J has opened up about the "honest lows and highs" of her breast cancer journey with her fans.

The 'Price Tag' singer shared a health update on social media this week. She revealed that she underwent surgery and shared pictures from her hospital bed.

Her post included a "blood warning".

"This post is some of the honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours. I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through," she wrote.

The English singer did not share much about the surgery or her breast cancer treatment, but is grateful for all the love and support she has received.

"Grateful to my doctor/surgeon and all the nurses who cared for me, and all my family/friends who came to visit. I am home now, to rest and wait for my results. Still hugging everyone going through something tough right now. We all got this!"

The pictures she shared from the hospital also showed her boyfriend, Chanan Safir Colman, and their two-year-old son, Sky.

Jessie revealed in a separate post that her son makes her feel brave.

She also shared a video of herself recording the acoustic version of her song, 'Living My Best Life', while carrying Sky.

"There is no brighter light in my life other than this boy, especially right now. I just got home from hospital last night and he is so gentle and understanding and has so much empathy," she wrote.

"It isn’t easy with me being out of action, but he is coping so well (I am not lol) I am so proud of him. @chanancolman we made the best boy ever."

The 37-year-old will release the acoustic track for 'Living My Best Life' and 'No Secrets' on Friday, June 27.

"You really thought adhd aries fire breathing dragon face controlling workaholic little old me wasn’t gonna have some new content to share while I’m off throwing hands at cancer?! And it’s me still posting it all."

Jessie first shared her breast cancer diagnosis with fans on June 3.

"Before 'No Secrets' came out I was diagnosed with early breast cancer... I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period. I just wanted to be open and share it," she said.

She joked that she would remix her song 'Living My Best Life' to 'Living My Breast Life'.

"All jokes aside (You know it’s one of the ways I get through hard times) This last 2 months have been so amazing, and having this go on alongside it on the sideline’s has given me the most incredible perspective. BUT… Your girl needs a hug."

Deborah Cox, Leona Lewis and South African singer LeAnne Dlamini sent her well wishes.

"You got you. We got you. You are so brave for sharing like you do," Cox commented.
