A criminal expert, Jacques Botha, weighs in on the shocking hotel shooting that took place in Johannesburg.
ECR Newswatch covered the story on Monday 15 November following a viral video of a police officer is seen shooting a guest at the Misty Hills Lodge in Johannesburg.
It is alleged that the guest known as Len Cloete checked in at the hotel but was refused access to the premises because he had a firearm with him.

After having an argument with the staff he left and came back without a firearm in his possession. He was then allocated a room.
A report shared that police officers, CST Sambo and CST Mbhalati arrived at the hotel found Len Cloete fighting with the Misty Hills staff members.
He was requested to leave and offered a refund - which he refused.
That is when the police officers were called.

SAPS called for backup from Sgt Nemaxwi, CST Shibambo, CST Ramahanedza and CST Mogoshane.
Sgt Nemaxwi and CST Sambo were assaulted with a fist on their faces by the guy who was shot.
More conflict ensued between the police officers and Cloete.

Sgt Nemaxwi then drew his firearm and shot the suspect once on his head.
It is reported that the suspect was arrested and is under guard at Pinehaven Hospital.
