1. 

Julius Malema says that unless President Cyril Ramaphosa hands in his resignation, nothing can stop the EFF’s planned national protest this Monday. There is no shutdown as no citizen has the power to do that, so it will be a protest. Stock standard protest, like a service delivery protest or a wage increase protest, except this one had a massive budget for tens of thousands of bright red glossy posters.

2. 

The public service wage strike ended on Wednesday after unions and the government announced that they had reached a settlement.

Queen guitarist Brian May has been knighted by King Charles III at Buckingham Palace. It would have happened years ago, its just… a queen knighting a Queen just seemed too on the nose.
