Good Mauling! Monday morning and we are sharing some of the headlining stories you might have missed this morning. 

The first story is regarding Eskom's CEO, André de Ruyter.

He says he had to hire bodyguards following numerous threats on social media over load-shedding. 

De Ruyter opened a criminal case of intimidation against EFF Kwa-Zulu Natal leader Vusi Khoza after he encouraged people to hunt the “useless fools” at Eskom and “moer” and “bliksem” them.

WhatsApp is working on several new features for its mobile and desktop apps. The first is the ability to pause and resume voice recordings. 

So you won't have to restart your voice recording if something disturbs you.

Standard Bank has warned of a new ‘smishing’ scam targeting customers which could put their personal information at risk. 

‘Smishing’ is when a fraudster sends you an SMS pretending to be Standard Bank, and tricks you into clicking on a link to share sensitive information which is used to access your digital banking profile to commit fraud.

Finally, the Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula says the driver’s license renewal backlog will be dealt with in time, before the March 2022 deadline. The validity of licenses that expired between 26 March and 31 August 2021 will now be extended to 31 March 2022.
