The don of milkshakes makes a comeback: Nesquik is that you?

We thought we laid this brand to rest, but it seems it has returned...

On 21 August 2023, South Africans said goodbye to a childhood classic, Nesquik after it was discontinued.
It may not have been the healthiest item in your cupboard, but Nesquik was a childhood staple for many. A sweet drink that delivered a unique flavour and a hefty dose of nostalgia.
Although the brand was initially discontinued due to declining sales, high demand following the announcement kept it on some shelves a little longer. As a result it was selling at higher prices.
But there's good news for lovers of this classic, Nesquik is making a comeback.
Content creator, Brenden Roberts, shared a video recently whilst shopping at a Dis-Chem store where he found tubs of Nesquik on display.
According to the video, a 300g tub was retailing for R119.99, and he quickly grabbed one before they flew off the shelves.

While some people were eager to get their hands on a tub, others were not convinced by the price saying that the drink doesn't taste like it used to.
It's tough when you see a brand that brings back so many childhood memories, but so much has changed that it doesn't feel the same anymore - it's like a bad breakup.
