Umhlanga drive-by shooting victim was taxi boss: neighbour
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
There are indications that Thursday's shooting in Umhlanga was taxi-related.
A man, thought to be in his 40s, was gunned down, apparently as he was about to pull out of a roadside parking spot outside a block of flats on Meridian Drive.
Newswatch spoke to a witness who says he is the neighbour of the deceased.

He told us that the man was a taxi boss who also owned meter taxis.
The South African National Taxi Council's (Santaco) Hlokomela, a road and safety campaign under the taxi council, also arrived at the scene.
However, they have declined to comment on the incident.
Pathology services left the scene on Thursday afternoon with the body of the deceased, leaving the brand new white SUV at the scene with it's shattered windows.
