'Suspected hit' sees man killed in hail of bullets in Umhlanga

A man believed to be in his forties has been killed in a suspected drive-by shooting in Umhlanga, north of Durban.

Netcare 911's Shawn Herbst says paramedics attended to the scene this morning and found the adult male to have been shot while seated in his vehicle.

"Reports from the scene indicate that an adult male believed to be in his forties had sustained multiple high calibre gunshot wounds throughout his body in what appears to be a hit.
“The patient was assessed by a Netcare 911 paramedics. However, he showed no signs of life and was declared deceased.

“Circumstances leading up to the incident will be investigated by the relevant authorities who were on scene.”
