Snow chasers keeping an eye on the Berg

Snow chasers will be keeping a close eye on the Drakensberg, with some snowfall predicted this weekend.
The South African Weather Service say there is a 30 percent chance of slight or moderate snowfall this evening and tomorrow.

There is also a 60 percent chance of rain along coastal areas, including Durban, Richards Bay and Margate.Maximum temperatures tomorrow are expected to peak below 20 degrees across the whole province.
The Drakensberg and Midlands areas will remain in the single digits.

The minimum temperature for Giants Castle and Underberg will settle at 1 and 2 degrees respectively tomorrow. Mooi River and Ixopo will reach a low of just 3 degrees.A cold front has been moving across the country from the Western Cape.
A light dusting of snow has already been experienced in parts of the Western and Northern Cape, including the Hottentots Holland Mountains and Sutherland.
