Snow has fallen on the top of Sani Pass, in Underberg - including Bushman's Nek and Castleburn - as well the southern Drakensberg.

Up to 55cm of snow has fallen in Tiffindell - that's in the southern Berg.

Rob Ansell, who's with Snow Report SA, says temperatures have dropped to 2 degrees in Underberg, while Sani Pass has seen temperatures plunge to below zero.

"In Underberg, in KwaZulu-Natal, snow started falling at about 11pm, last night. It did go for a few hours and there's lovely snow lying on the ground there this morning. Also, it's  out in the Bushman's Nek area and Swartberg. There's plenty snow in central Lesotho.

"There's no snow in the Midlands at the moment, there were a few flurries overnight but nothing has settled," Ansell said.
