KZN customers to be searched upon entry: Woolworths
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
Woolworths customers can expect to be searched when entering its KwaZulu-Natal stores from today.
It is one of the security measures introduced by the retail giant in the wake of a number of bomb scares and threats.
Police say at least seven improvised devices have been found in and around Durban, including in Woolworths shops in recent weeks.
Just last week, a suspicious device removed from the retailer's Dr Pixley KaSeme Street branch in the CBD was defused.

Hewett says customers will see more visible security measures within the province's stores.
"We are working closely with SAPS, the Hawks and our own internal investigators in this matter."
