The State called up Mohammed Hoosen on day three of the murder trial.

Collin Pillay, who allegedly had an affair with Jane, is accused of the killings last year.

Hoosen told the court he saw a man wearing a blue baseball jacket and jeans walking towards the Govindasamy’s home in the complex on the day of the killings.

Pillay claims he had been walking in the complex because it is a shortcut to the Phoenix Plaza where he was headed.

But Hoosen told the court that if somebody wanted to get to the Phoenix Plaza, they would have walked straight through the complex and not turned towards the Govindasamy’s flat, as he says was the case with the man he saw.

Pillay’s defence attorney asked Hoosen if there was a way to the plaza through the area where the Govindasamy’s flat was located, which he confirmed.

Yesterday, Pillay’s ex-girlfriend, Pushpa Moodley told the court he had been wearing a blue and white baseball jacket and jeans on the day of the murders.

Footage of Pillay clad in similar clothing and leaving the complex was also shown in court.
