Warrant officer Rajan Sanders has been explaining how they used CCTV footage to link the suspect with the crime.

The bodies of the three victims were found in their home in September last year.

Sanders told the court that they used footage from five different locations to connect Collin Pillay to the murders.

Sanders, who is part of a technical support unit, says they started at a boutique about 100 metres from the victims' home.

He told the court that footage from the premises shows Pillay walking past and wiping something silver in colour, believed to be a knife, on himself before dumping it on the roadside.

The I/O said the area was then cordoned off and a silver knife with a black handle was found.

Govindasamy's husband, Sagren, testified yesterday that the knife was part of a kitchen set from his home.

Pillay, who had been reportedly having an affair with Jane, yesterday pleaded not guilty to the crimes.

The trial continues.
