Miley Cyrus pours her heart out in new song 'More to Lose'
Updated | By Music Reporter
Miley Cyrus gets emotional over the end of a relationship in her new ballad.

Is Miley Cyrus's new song about her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth?
That's what her fans think after the singer-songwriter debuted her latest single, 'More to Lose', ahead of her upcoming album release.
"I knew someday that one would have to choose," she sings. "I just thought we had more to lose."
Cyrus previewed the song at a New York performance earlier this month with some of her former partners in the audience.
"I have a lot of people that I’ve known and loved for a very long time in this room, even a couple of exes," she said.
The former 'Hannah Montana' star did not mention any names, but she has been linked to Nick Jonas, Cody Simpson, Kaitlynn Carter, and Patrick Schwarzenegger of 'The White Lotus'.
However, fans believe the ex in question, as far as her new song is concerned, is Hemsworth.
"Say I'm leavin', but I'm only playing liar/ 'Cause when you're lookin' like/ A movie star in a worn-out coat," she sings in the track.
Cyrus and Hemsworth, an Australian actor, met on the set of the 2009 movie, 'The Last Song'. They broke up in 2010 but reunited a year later.
They split on several occasions between 2013 to 2015 before rekindling their romance once again and tying the knot in a low-key wedding ceremony in December 2018.
The A-list couple called it quits for good in August 2019.
Shortly before releasing 'More to Lose', Cyrus shared how the song came about.
"On a song like 'More to Lose', I tried to keep it a singular take... It’s really a song that’s more of a story, and I never want that to be interrupted or overthought or chasing perfection. I never wanted ‘More to Lose’ to be perfect, I wanted it to sound beautiful and emotional.”
Her 2023 single, 'Flowers', is reportedly also about her ex-husband. She released the song on his birthday!
"I can buy myself flowers/ Write my name in the sand/ Talk to myself for hours/ Say things you don't understand/ I can take myself dancing/ And I can hold my own hand/Yeah, I can love me better than you can," she sings.
Cyrus went on to win her first-ever Grammy for the song.
'More to Lose' is the second official single from her ninth studio album, 'Something Beautiful,' which will be released on May 30.
In April, the 32-year-old released the album's lead single, 'End of the World', which is currently at #16 on the ECR Top 40 with Styles (Brought to you by CTM).
She also shared a video for the album's title track and prelude.
