Food is something that connects us no matter where we come from. It can be said that it is the universal connector, something that brings people together. That's a good tip for you in case you didn't already know.

If you are in an awkward situation and you are not sure what to do, include food and you are well on your way to success. Of course, it's always advisable to be mindful of what food to bring, for instance you don't bring something super messy to a picnic date, or a meat dish to a meal with a vegetarian...

We don't want this to turn into a full on advice column, so we shall move on. Just always remember it's all in the detail.

On that note, what would you say is the most exotic or the most wild food combination that you have had? We know that for Vic Naidoo, one has got be to the fish fingers and custard dish that he tried when he first started at East Coast Radio.

We even have a video of it, just in case you think we are lying.

WATCH the video below of him trying it out (courtesy of Facebook):

"Last week, entrepreneur Harsh Goenka shared the video on his Twitter page, captioning it as “Seeing the lollipop idli circulating in social media was ok, but this one,” ending his post with emojis of horrified faces. As Goenka shared this weird combo of our favourite street food, it has now made everyone cringe." (MSN)

Fusion combinations are definitely a thing and with the weird and wacky combos doing the rounds on social media, this one seems a bit more subtle. And, of course, everybody loves chocolate, so pair that with strawberries and pastry, you have a winner, right?

We're not so sure. But check out the video below of the chocolate samoosa. From chocolate covered samoosas to jam filled samoosas and lastly a samoosa filled with tandoori spiced paneer. Which would you try?
