This little girl is more fearless than most grown adults!
Australia is known for being home to many scary creatures.

Creatures that seem to exist only in horror movies and that will haunt your nightmares.
Sure, we might be overexaggerating a bit.

But we still feel that it takes a special kind of person to live in that country.
Someone who might be a little braver than your average human, and maybe they have a love for all things creepy and crawly?

Although not every person would even CONSIDER getting close to a shark, nevermind touching and holding one.
But this little 11-year-old from Australia, Billie Rea, didn't even think twice before helping a stuck shark get back to the open waters.

In case you might be wondering why a mother would watch a child engage with a shark, Billie's mom said that she knew she wasn't in danger when she saw it was a draughtboard shark, which is a very slow-moving and virtually harmless creature.
She was more afraid of Billie slipping on the wet rocks.

Ignoring the fact that she was calmly and easily handling this shark, our favourite part has to be her gentle and kind words: "I've got a shark. Come on darling," and "It's alright, it's alright."
Both the shark and Billie are now living happily ever after.
