Now here’s an interesting story. A man wanted by the police in the United Kingdom handed himself over to the police because he says that jail will be better than his current living situation.

The man told cops that as the world remains in lockdown, living with his housemates became so unbearable that he would rather be in jail. According to Metro, the man, who wore an electronic tag, initially broken his tag off to avoid being found, but after his horrible living situation, his bit of freedom came to an end when he called the police, explaining that he is wanted and his desire for ‘peace and quiet’.

After coming to a compromise with the police, the man handed himself over at a West Sussex police station last week.

Inspector Darren Taylor explained: “(The man) rang us and said he was going to hand himself in a Burgess Hill police station and that he had broken his tag off. [The man said] he would rather go back to prison then have to spend more time with the people he was living with.”

The inspector shared an hilarious tweet with a gif of a minion from the film ‘Despicable Me’ adding, “One in custody and heading back to prison to serve some further time on his own.”
