Of course we all have our favourites onscreen couples. Sometimes we are known for living vicariously through them and it takes a minute for us to readjust when we see them engaging with their real-life partners.

Vic Naidoo wanted to pay tribute to three onscreen couples that made it work so well onscreen because their undeniable chemistry. We wish they also felt the sparks offscreen, if they did, we'll never know...

The first of the trio has to be Luke and Lorelai from Gilmore Girls. These two were the ultimate match in the series, they had all the makings of a great romance, he had that whole dark, broody and saviour thing going on and she was the one who was always trying to rediscover herself.

As complete opposites, they showed off such chemistry that they relationship was written into the script for the series. Lauren Graham who plays Lorelai and Scott Patterson, Luke, played their friendship and their blossoming love interest off perfectly.

"I knew it from the moment we met, and I knew it was going to work on screen. We just had a rhythm." said Patterson.

The second couple that showed such compatibility is still a couple that we love together. If you are a friends fan, then you will know that Monica and Chandler are the meant to be couple on the show. There were subtle hints that were given away initially that they may get together, but we didn't get our hopes up.

"Originally, Monica and Chandler were going to be a "brief thing," but the writers quickly decided to rethink their plan after seeing the reaction to the London episodes. When it was revealed that Monica and Chandler were in bed together, the audience went wild." (Buzz Feed)

And last but definitely not least, we have the Dawson's Creek couple that everyone desperately wanted to happen and when it finally did, we sighed in relief. Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson, were the perfect match...

"We saw that chemistry between Katie and Josh and decided it would be the thing that breaks up Dawson and Joey and that it would come between Dawson and Pacey's friendship." In real life, Katie and Joshua dated as well." (Buzz Feed)
