No matter what your finances look like taking advantage of a good special whilst out shopping is something everyone does. 

It is the new way of shopping, searching for deals online and taking it from there. 

However, if math is not your strong point, you might be in trouble. For obvious reasons, of course, you have to know whether you are saving or losing out when you are shopping. 

A Durban TikToker recently shared a video showing the importance of being math-literate when shopping. 

In the video, we see a Chocolate slabs that were on special during the Easter period. 

The special was at a Checkers store for three slabs at R89 when you pay using your Checkers Xtra Savings card. But wait, there was a catch, the normal price showed R20 each.

Of course, there must have been a mistake with the printing, which is not anything new. 

"Remember, consumers cannot be charged more than the displayed price, and if multiple prices are shown, they pay the lowest displayed price." (My Small Business)

So, we wonder what would happen in this case. Because the normal price is lower than the special price...
