An epic way to eat those leftover hot cross buns

This could be the most decadent, yet simple way of enjoying your leftover hot cross buns.
It is never surprising to us how creative people can be with food. And what better time than now to highlight some of the great hot cross bun fusions?
As we bid our Easter weekend farewell, you may still have an abundant supply of hot cross buns and Easter eggs, specifically the marshmallow ones.
One woman knocked us off our feet with this enticing (and decadent) way of enjoying your leftover hot cross buns.

In a video on TikTok, we see a woman named Meg Engel cut open a traditional hot cross bun and firmly places two marshmallow Easter eggs inside.
The way she tucked the eggs into the bun made it look like a match made in heaven.
After covering up the bun with its top half, she took it over to a snackwich toaster and let it work its magic.

We had all kinds of thoughts whilst waiting for the results...
This inspired Easter treat is something we all need to try.
It reminded us of preparing smores (in a more efficient way).
