WATCH: Hippo goes for a stroll in St. Lucia parking lot
The hippos never sleep in KZN…
A TikToker was surprised to look out her window recently and see a hippopotamus going for a stroll in the parking lot.
Taking to TikTok, Beau Spaans, who is from the Netherlands, shared a 20-second clip which has since gone viral around the world.
The video shows the large semi-aquatic mammal going for a calm night stroll, minding its own business and taking the smallest steps.
The video has gained over five-million views on the video-sharing application and has people sharing the funniest comments!
From quoting the movie 'Madagascar' to residents of Saint Lucia in the Caribbean questioning what is happening, the comment section is hilarious.

According to a previous report, the iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority stated that seeing hippos walking at night in St. Lucia, northern KZN, is not a unique occurrence.
They also advised people to keep their distance from the animals, noting that the hippos may feel threatened.
