VIRAL: Subway worker is fast asleep while preparing sandwich for hungry customer

Let's face it, working in the service industry can be hard, but this viral moment was unlike anything we have ever seen before.

This worker went face first into the sandwich while she was making it, then fell fast asleep.

We don't think that's what the customer meant when they asked for extra toppings...

We simply cannot believe that this worker nodded off mid prep.

This bizarre moment has blown up, reaching 25-million views and three-million likes. 

That's as if every second person in South Africa has seen it!

In the video, the female fast food worker is seen preparing a footlong sub for a customer while soothing music plays in the background.

The customer secretly catches her in 4k sprinkling a topping from a container onto the sandwich. 

Suddenly her hand stops half way down the bread roll. She begins to slump forward, while still standing up, and her face gets closer and closer to the counter.

First, her Subway hat touches the sandwich, then her face - which is covered in a blue face-mask.

Many TikTokers took to the comments to express their concern, as well as make light of the situation.

Some hilarious comments have been shared: "She needs to sniff it first to make sure it’s fresh, it’s telling her something, just keeping an eye on it and She’s just trying to get a closer look and make sure the seasoning is well distributed."

Other concerned comments have been: "This is actually really sad. I can’t imagine how underslept she is", " This is so sad, she needs a day off. You can tell she's overworked", and " Not to mention the wage people get paid at Subway... She deserves better."
