Many people claim to be foodies, but very few who enjoy the delicacy of sushi actually know how to eat it properly.

Many of us can be a "chop" when it comes to using chopsticks, but this food-fluencer took it to a whole new level when he posted this viral video.

This video, which has been gaining traction on Instagram, has over over 1.7-million views, 165-thousand likes, and thousands of comments

One notable comment mentioned: "In first few seconds, I literally observed you how you eat. How you are holding the sticks because I thought you are teaching us how to eat sushi. But at last, honestly, l am not disappointed at all. I am more than happy the way of yours to eat sushi."

This technique of eating sushi can be quite difficult, especially since you are dealing with food of a somewhat slimy texture.

Another hilarious comment mentioned: "Now even if I know to use a chopstick, I'll still be eating a sushi with my bare hands."

While many agreed that eating with your hands is way more comfortable when you are new to using chopsticks, Japanese food enthusiasts also confirmed that sushi is in fact eaten with your hands in Japan, too. 

One user said: "Let me tell you, he is correct, Sushi is meant to be eaten by hand - a Japanese approved."

Well, this new fact will definitely come in handy while we get some funny looks when eating sushi.
