Priyanka Chopra Jonas mourns loss of 'forever champion' Pradeep Guha

Unfortunately, the Bollywood film and entertainment industry has had to say goodbye to another legend.

Pradeep Guha has passed away at the age of 68.

The movie producer, media personality, and mentor to many had been battling cancer and died on Saturday, 21 August, at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.

His wife, Papia Guha, and son, Sanket Guha, broke the news by releasing a statement to the media:

Mr Guha worked in the media field for over four decades and his influence on various industries was clear.

He had worked with the Times Group for over 30 years where he served as the president of the company and was also on the board of directors. He was also the CEO of Zee Entertainment and vice president and area director for the International Advertising Association, Asia Pacific region before going on to serve as the managing director of 9X Media Private Limited.

While he was well-known for the work he produced, he was also beloved by many in the industry, including Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who posted a very moving tribute on her social media after hearing the sad news.

Priyanka called him her 'mentor' and 'forever champion', and said that this loss to her was 'so personal'.

With her career moving from Bollywood to Hollywood, she said that he was someone she could always rely on.

Along with pictures of Mr Guha, she also shared a sweet moment where the late producer spoke highly of her during an interview.
