KZN beach ranks amongst top spots in the world for skinny dipping

This province has received recognition worldwide for its hospitality, diverse culture, great food, and so much more!

As we all know KZN has a lot to offer! Especially in the summer months.
While the rest of the world suffers through their cold winters, tourists flock to our beautiful, warm beaches and even our fellow landlocked South Africans find themselves stopping by for as long as they possibly can during the summer (or even the winter).

And just when we thought KZN couldn't get even more appealing, the South Coast has been featured on a very interesting list.
MyDatingAdviser recently conducted a study with the hope of determining the top 25 locations in the world to go for a nudist dip.

Yes, you read that right. They wanted to find out where in the world would be the best spots to go skinny dipping.
They compared 100 locations across the world, from Australia to SA, and they had specific categories they used for determining the ultimate list.

From beach quality to hotel costs and even weather, they used seven data points. The seven key metrics of skinny dip friendliness were determined as 1) pollution, (2) Blue Flag status, (3) weather, (4) air temperature, (5) water temperature, (6) safety, and (7) hotel cost.
The various spots were then given a 'Skinny Dipping Index Score' that represents the overall skinny dipping experience at this location.

The highest score achieved by one of these locations was 84.5. But even more impressive was the score achieved by the South African entry; the KZN South Coast's very own Mpenjati Beach. Located in the Mpenjati Nature Reserve in Port Edward, it received a score of 59!
It landed just outside of the top 15 but still made the top 25 spots, which is quite a feat.

Now KZN has another bragging right to add to the ever-growing list.
