'The Braai Show with Cassper Nyovest' was originally a show hosted by AKA, but the reigns were handed over to Cassper after the other rapper ended up becoming tangled in drama.

However, it now seems that drama is set to follow the host of this show.

The first episode of the show seemed to be a major success as Miss Universe 2019, Zozibini Tunzi, appeared as the first guest, but things quickly turned sour when the rest of the guest line-up was revealed:

Following the recent abuse allegations that were made against him by his estranged husband, Mohale Motaung, it seemed like Somizi had hit rock bottom. Brands had cut ties with him, he took some "time off" from his radio gig at Metro FM, and was subsequently cut from his 'Idols SA' judging role.

It appeared as if Somizi had successfully been cancelled, but seeing his return to social media and now with the announcement of his appearance on #TheBraaiShow, Tweeps are furious.

Many fans are disappointed in Cassper, while others are stating that South Africa has the tendency to be selective with its cancellation:

The media personality saw the rug pulled from beneath him after major allegations were made against him.

It all started back in January:

City Press claimed that they had it on good authority that Somizi and Mohale Motaung were headed for divorce, to which Somizi responded by dragging the journalist and revealing her number to the masses.

Things have calmed down slightly since then until it was announced that Mohale Motaung had recorded an interview with the producers of 'Living the Dream with Somizi' in which he revealed some harrowing truths and made some serious allegations against Somizi.

You can catch up on the whole saga here.

Fast forward a few weeks, and it seems like all this drama happened in another lifetime.

After the initial accusations were made, Somizi was removed as an 'Idols SA' judge, he lost his partnership with Bathu sneakers, and even took a leave of absence from his radio gig.

But it seems like he is dusting himself off and getting back on the influencer train.

He has now officially returned to social media after a much-needed break and he is ready to start getting that bag again.

And he hasn't been doing too bad.

On Spring Day, he received a very thoughtful gift in honour of the new season.

He took to social media and posted a few pictures holding a massive bouquet of roses (which can usually cost up to R3,000) and the bouquet was wrapped in... R100 bills!

R12,000 worth or R100 notes to be exact:

Finally, after keeping the people guessing for just over an hour, Somizi followed up his initial post with another.

This time it was a video announcing a Wong Vida giveaway:

As it turns out, the cash roses bouquet wasn't the only gift Somizi received.

Most #canceled celebs might have made a more chill, steady, and gradual return to social media, but Somizi did it in typical Somizi fashion.

We also realised that something about this cash bouquet seemed familiar and then it clicked - just last year J Sbu did the exact same thing for his mother's birthday:
