Instagram is one of the biggest apps where many consumers spend a lot of time engaging with content.

Not only does what you post say something about you, but so does what you like and who you follow.

WATCH what Stacey and J Sbu found out when they stalked each other on Instagram...

1. Only following verified people

J Sbu went onto Stacey's instagram and found out that 60% of the people she follows are verified. When we brought this to Stacey's attention, she explained that she enjoys curated content.

According to Stacey, being verified demonstrates that they use Instagram for its intended purpose of showcasing "beautiful things".

Do you follow a lot of verified people?

No, it doesn't mean unverified people aren't good enough to follow, it just means you enjoy consuming curated content. Simple as that.

2. Lack of past content

We all have one of those friends that got on the insta-train late... or did they?

Various people on Instagram have a lack of past content. Is it because they only joined late or because they archived/deleted their pictures?

Stacey found out that J Sbu has his "first" post from 2018.

This revealed to us that he is in fact a lurker. He interacts but has a light, recent social media footprint. Talk about a stalker.

3. Outdated Memes

LOLcat...

Let's be honest, did we ever really know what this meant even when it was trending?

So many memes on the internet go viral and every now and then some make a comeback. If you are one of those people that still has an outdated meme in your bio, it either means that it has now become a personality trait or you simply never update your profile on Instagram.

4. Not liking your friends' posts

Instagram can be a lot, we understand, but not liking your friends' posts... come on now! Seeing your friends all the time is not a valid excuse for not liking their posts or staying active with their feed.

Be a good friend and drop a like and a comment. If not, just give your phone to you friend so they can do it for you, like Stacey and J Sbu did.

5. Cooking and pimple popping videos

Don't lie, you're probably also a sucker for watching ever single satisfying cooking or pimple popping video that shows up on your feed.

If this is you, you are normal. However, at least put these new skills to use in the kitchen and try whip up something you see. We don't want to see "sweaters in the stove" while there's cuisine on your explore page.

Also, stop denying that you watch pimple popping videos, we've all done it at one point.
