It’s happened - again. Yet another South African passenger has been removed from a domestic flight.

The latest incident, which is doing the rounds on social media, depicts a man being taken off a local flight after alleged ‘disruptive’ behaviour.

Footage of the incident was shared on TikTok by @kundaimurapa and has since garnered over 73,000 views on the short-form video-sharing app.

The clip starts off by showing two men in a sort of physical altercation. It soon becomes clear that one of the men is attempting to take the other to another seat on the plane before other passengers step in.

After struggling for some time, a passenger with cable ties steps in to assist with restraining the passenger. He then sits down, hands tied, as officers arrive.

The man asked the police for assistance but instead, they removed him from the aircraft.

As the footage comes to an end, TikTok user @kundaimurapa explained the ordeal.

According to the content creator, the man had been disruptive on the flight, even threatening passengers. This was allegedly all because he had not received the correct change for a bottle of water he purchased.

"And then from there, it pivoted to him screaming about needing to be in Durban - on a Cape Town flight," he explained, “So fortunately, we had two passengers with a background in security services, and they subdued this dude.”

He further stated that the captain of the flight made the decision to divert the plane in order to remove the individual from the aircraft.

“It was inconvenient,” he concluded.
