Everyone knows about weddings and their traditions, right?

On TikTok, a wedding ceremony went viral as the groomsman, together with an invited guest, decided to use a shovel and throw rice at the married couple.

The tossing of rice at the newlyweds comes at the conclusion of a wedding ceremony. It's a tradition that has been around for a long time. 

According to Minted Weddings, rice symbolises both fertility and prosperity. By tossing it at newlyweds, best wishes and good luck are conveyed to the couple.

In modern weddings, rice has been replaced with confetti or even bubbles, so it's lost its original essence.
