A look at the devastating storm that hit KwaZulu-Natal over the weekend.
KwaZulu-Natal was struck by unexpected heavy rains on Saturday night. Once more, the heartache and uncertainty fuelled panic in our province.
As dawn broke on Sunday morning, the residents of KZN were met with a grim reality – widespread flooding and significant damage to homes, infrastructure, and businesses.
One Durban North resident shares: "It was an unforeseen disaster that etched fear into the hearts of KZN residents again. It's time that our community starts to take heavy rain and flooding precautions seriously."

Videos captured during the storm reveal the sheer force of the rain as floodwaters surged through streets, inundating neighbourhoods and trapping some residents in their homes.

ECR NewsWatch reports: "IPSS dispatched numerous teams to reports of flooding. We urge motorists to stay off the roads and do not cross low-lying bridges as roads start to flood and bridges become impossible.”
