Among the many delegates who attended the indaba was Nkosenhle Madlala, who is the chairperson of the city’s Governance and Human Capital Committee, representing eThekwini mayor Mxolisi Kaunda.

He announced that there will be new additions to the city as locals and tourists can enjoy the multi-million Rand ferris wheel called Durban Eye. More additions for the city of Durban include new routes to attract more international travel flights and enhance intra-Africa trade.

Speaking of the Durban Eye, it is a project that will be built along the beachfront promenade. It is expected to be launched in February 2023, just before the Easter holidays.

With the developer already appointed, the construction is expected to start on-site in July. The project is expected to cost in the region of R450-million, with a 360-degree panoramic view of the city. It will be a welcomed acquisition for the city.
