'Once you pop, you can’t stop’ – Man gives weird reason for stealing Pringles
Updated | By East Coast Breakfast
While some people are busy debating whether Pringles are real potato chips or not, a burglar in England is willing to risk it all just to get his hands on a tube—or 17!
A man in England has been ordered to complete a six-month drug rehabilitation programme after going on a burglary spree that saw him steal 17 tubes of Pringles - among other things.
Police in Nottinghamshire nabbed Adam Spencer in Sutton-in-Ashfield in connection with several burglaries that took place in April and May.
Adam reportedly broke into a shop in one incident and helped his sticky fingers to the Pringles.
When police finally caught up with him, he gave an interesting reason for including 17 tubes in his haul.
“Once you pop, you can't stop,” he told police, according to Sky News.
Adam is clearly a big Pringles fan because the phrase is actually taken from the brand's slogan.
Another version of the slogan is: "Once you pop, the fun don't stop."

MORE FROM EAST COAST RADIO:
The "fun" did stop for Adam, who was found guilty of three thefts and two burglaries.
He reportedly made off with more than £300 (R7,000) worth of products, including meat.
Adam received a six-month prison sentence, which was suspended for 12 months. He also has to pay £200 (R4,700)and has been ordered to attend a drug rehabilitation programme for six months.
And FYI, Pringles are potato chips – kind of.
People on the internet debated the matter after a social media user shared a video claiming that not a single potato is used to make Pringles.
The debate has been raging for years.
However, while Pringles are not all potato, they are made from dehydrated potato flakes, corn flour, and other ingredients.
