Mothers and daughters can sometimes have opposing views. Just like most relationships, these can turn into a somewhat testy bond. When it comes to parenting, it can be tricky finding your own way of doing things, especially when you have an opposing view from your parent or parents.

Sometimes the best thing to do is to just try and be inclusive to what you think is important and politely explain that finding your own parenting style is something you want to do on your own with your partner. However, that may sound easier said than done...

In this case, an innocent 11-year-old may grow up and blame her mother and grandmother for the condition they have left her hair. To put you more in the picture, a grandmother who was getting married decided that her granddaughter's blue hair just wouldn't cut it for her wedding day.

The mother of the young girl said to 7News: "We dye her hair semi-regularly with Arctic Fox, which is safe for kids. About a week ago, we dyed it a very pretty blue. My mum detests unnatural hair colours and has been hounding me to ‘fix it’ for the wedding. My daughter was fine with being a brunette for a little while when I asked. I was going to let her blue fade out naturally, then put a dark brown over it a bit before the wedding."

The grandmother made a call and bleached her granddaughter's hair during the 4th of July weekend when her parents were working. The grandmother was a stylist over a decade ago, so her daughter is shocked at what she did, as her daughter's hair has become so dry and damaged. She even said that the blue is not even fully out...

Talk about taking things to another level!

The mother said that her daughter was very unhappy about the way her hair turned out. She added that she would be taking her daughter to the salon to try and fix the damage.

"My daughter hates her hair and expected a pretty bleach blonde ‘like Billie Eilish’, which is what her grandma promised her, not a faded mess." said the mother.

It's a crazy world out there, with grannies bleaching their grandkids' hair and mothers dying their kids' hair blue. What is going on?

Have you ever dyed your child's hair? If so, what age were they when you first did it and what motivated you to do so?
