Hospital staff and patients were unknowingly drinking toilet water for almost 30 years!
Updated | By East Coast Radio
If toilets could talk, what stories would they tell...

To be honest, this story has got us in our feelings when it comes to drinking tap water. We have heard many stories about the condition of tap water, that there are impurities in it and that sometimes it's not safe to drink in certain locations.
But to hear that the pipes were incorrectly connected and that you were consuming water that flushes out, not just your waste, but an entire hospital's waste, just gives us the heebie jeebies...
Can you even imagine finding out that for almost thirty years, people at a hospital in Japan were consuming toilet water? Firstly, there must be some health hazard there?
And more than that, it's just sickening and makes us feel sick. We're not sure which is worse, not knowing or knowing. That saying about, what you don't know won't hurt you, is truly next level in this case.
There are no reports regarding the patients and the hospital staff that have been exposed to the toilet water.
"Some taps at the Osaka University hospital were connected to toilets and have been ever since the hospital’s construction in 1993. The mistake was only noticed recently when hospital management started building a new water treatment plant." (MSN)
How would you feel if you found out that you had been consuming toilet water?
