As the saying goes, "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned". A Chinese woman, Ms Zhao, was left devastated when her boyfriend of just over a year dumped her.

She cried for three days, and what made things worse was that he also allegedly cheated on her. The story from 2020 made headlines for its bizarre nature and had people talking about the extent to which a person will go to exact their revenge on an ex-lover.

Her devastation led her to take some extreme measures in coming up with a plan to get back at her ex-boyfriend.

While we have seen some crazy acts of revenge in the past, like bashing someone's car windows or keying cars, some people have thrown out their ex's clothes or belongings, and others have made awkward confrontations, this story was both funny and cynical.

Ms Zhao's heartbreak turned to anger when she reportedly found out her ex-boyfriend didn't shed any tears after their breakup.

According to the Daily Mail, "She ordered a tonne of red onions to be delivered to her ex-boyfriend's front door with a note that read: 'I've cried for three days, now it's your turn.'"

According to the Daily Mail, the order had specific instructions. The order note instructed the driver not to contact the receiver and dump the onion order at his front door.

The driver was said to have spent four hours moving the onions from the truck to the ex-boyfriend's front door.

"Ms Zhao's ex-boyfriend later told Shandong Net that he broke up with the Chinese woman due to her 'over-the-top behaviours'," reports Daily Mail.

She didn't prove him wrong with this scene in their relationship, the onion scene.
