Worshippers left fearful, concerned following Chatsworth mosque fire

The moulana at the Masjid-e-Mukhtar, in Croftdene‚ says worshippers have been left fearful after yesterday's fire there.

The early morning blaze gutted a storage room, police are investigating a case of arson.
No-one was hurt. Moulana, Yusuf Matola, says nothing like this has ever happened at the mosque before.
"It's so disheartening that the fire broke at the mosque. It's something that's really shocking. It's the first time that this has happened," Matola said.
Matola says the mosque is well-established and active in the local community.

"It's one of the oldest mosques. It's very well known. This mosque is very concerned about the welfare of the people," Matola said.
