Fire breaks out at Durban mosque

Chatsworth police are currently at the Masjid-e-Mukhtar in Croftdene‚ where a fire broke out this morning.
SAPS spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says it's unclear at this stage whether or not the blaze was started intentionally.
It was confined to a single room and no injuries have been reported.
"This morning the police received a report of a fire at the Mosque at Croftdene and they proceeded there, they found that a storage room had caught alight at the mosque.

"It is confirmed that the fire was started at the storage room where detergent and cleaning equipment is stored. There were minimal damages in that room. There were no injuries reported," Mbhele said.
Mbhele says there's no case open at this stage but charges of malicious damage to property might be laid.
