Woman murdered in her PMB home

Mystery surrounds the murder of a woman who was found shot in the head at her home in Langford Road in Pietermaritzburg, this morning.
Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane, says the woman - believed to be in her 40's - was shot when she came home from work by an unknown suspect.
It's believed that the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Zwane says a case of murder has been opened at the Alexandra Police Station, and no arrests have yet been made.
Meanwhile, ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring says when they arrived at the woman's home - paramedics found her body slumped over a couch.

"We immediately assessed the woman, and found she had sustained a gunshot wound to the head, and showed no signs of being alive. She was declared dead on the scene," he said.
