WATCH: Suspected bank robbers caught in Umhlanga

Three suspected robbers who are believed to have been planning a bank robbery in Umhlanga have been arrested.
Plain-clothed police officers arrived within minutes to find the suspects driving out of the parking lot.

They tried to speed off, but another marked police car arrived and cut them off.
The men were handcuffed and their vehicle searched.
Officers found firearms and balaclavas packed in a bag on the backseat.

They then realised the Mercedes Benz had been stolen when they found its real number plates in the boot.
The three men who had been lying on the ground were then bundled into the back of a police van.
A crowd of nearby office workers cheered when the suspects were taken away.
