WATCH: Durban drag race assault: Police appeal to victim to come forward

Police say they are still waiting for a Durban man whose assault was caught on camera - to open a case.

The victim allegedly got in the way of drag racers who then attacked him.
The incident took place at a petrol station on Durban's Umgeni Road, last week.

In the video that has surfaced on social media - a group of men are seen repeatedly kicking the man, who is seen clutching his head and struggling to get back on his feet - while bystanders continue to look on.
KZN police's Thulani Zwane is appealing to the victim to lay charges.
"We haven't received any complaints about the man who was allegedly assaulted by drag racers. We are appealing to the man to come forward and open a case, so that the matter will be investigated," he said.
