Sydenham police are investigating a case of carjacking after a group of people were robbed of their vehicle and other belongings outside a property in Asherville last night.
Police say the armed robbers targeted the group in the driveway of the home at around 7.45pm.

The clip was posted on Facebook by Farhana Ismail with the caption, "About an hour ago in Asherville."

In the footage, a sedan can be seen parking behind the victims' vehicle. At least three armed robbers then accost the victims and search them for valuables.
"The robbers then demanded the car keys from the driver at gunpoint," said SAPS spokesperson Nqobile Gwala.
Gwala says the robbers fled the scene with the victims' white Mercedes Benz, cellphones and other belongings.
"Police are still searching for the suspects and the vehicle," she said.
