WATCH: Durban medics avoid hijacking ordeal

Rescue Care says medics were called to the area's E Section, north of Durban to treat a medical emergency patient last night.

Spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson says the four men, who were allegedly armed with handguns, approached the vehicle while the driver slowed down to navigate speed bumps.

Jamieson says the driver noticed what was going on and quickly sped off.

He says the men then hit the rear of the ambulance and ran after the vehicle, pointing their firearms.
