Umlazi babysitter facing attempted murder charges

Authorities say a babysitter is in custody for allegedly trying to strangle a three-month old baby girl in Umlazi, south of Durban.
It is believed the little girl's mother left her with the 23-year-old woman before going to work yesterday.

Detectives say when the mother returned in the evening, she found her baby with a high temperature and crying uncontrollably.Police say after the woman made some enquiries, she realised the child had been assaulted.
