Harichunder says the office will be off-limits on Thursday and Friday while decontamination is underway.
"We are urging staff not to go to Umgeni Water's head office. It is an inconvenience, but however, it is absolutely necessary because we all understand the extent to which and how quickly this virus spreads.
"I want to emphasis the services that Umgeni Water provides are remains unaffected. The water is safe to drink, and the amount of water we supply to municipalities will not be affected," says Harichunder.
