R123m water project in the pipeline for King Cetshwayo District
Updated | By Nomfundo Ngcobo
The King Cetshwayo District says a new water infrastructure project will help reverse service delivery failures in the Nkandla community.
It's been launched under a R123 million intervention project.
The district mayor says community members have struggled with poor service delivery for years.
Infrastructure will be repaired, and smart control valves installed.
The District's Rekha Naidoo says the community will also be educated on how to prevent water losses. There'll be several projects on the go in each area.

"We've been given a water services infrastructure grant for R123 million and using that grant we are implementing water-related projects in all five municipalities in the King Cetshwayo District.
"We are the water services authority for Nkandla Municipality, Mfolozi Municipality, Mlalazi Municipality and Mthonjaneni.
"The projects comprise of pipelines, pump stations, construction of boreholes, and so forth," says Naidoo.
