Ulundi double murder case postponed

The case against a relative - accused of murdering an Ulundi mother and her young child has been postponed.

Twenty-year-old Smanga Magwaza appeared in Mahlabathini Magistrates Court on Tuesday in connection with the double murder which happened over the week.
He was arrested over the weekend after the bodies of 25-year-old Siphesihle Magwaza and her five-year-old son - Owami were found at their home in Ulundi.
They'd both been stabbed.

The suspect lived with the victims. He was taken into custody after their tenants noticed a strong odour and found the bodies.
The police's Thembeka Mbele said: "The matter was remanded to 9 November 2020 for formal bail application."
