Two killed in Umkomaas truck crash

Two people have been killed after a truck with a load of bricks crashed in Umkomaas, south of Durban.
It is believed the driver of the truck lost control before the vehicle careened down an embankment yesterday.
"The exact cause of the crash is not known at this stage and authorities are investigating further," he said.
At this stage, there are conflicting reports about whether the victims were pedestrians or occupants of the truck.

KZN Emergency Medical Services spokesperson, Robert Mckenzie says five other people had been sitting on top of the bricks when the accident happened.
