Probe ongoing into Greytown crash, claiming five lives

Authorities are trying to determine what led to a crash that claimed five lives near Greytown.

A taxi and a car collided on the R614 in Apelbosch yesterday afternoon.
Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says both vehicles burst into flames.
"Three occupants of a Golf died instantly and the other two who died were from the taxi. Twelve people from the taxi also sustained serious injuries - and they were taken to hospital," Zwane said.

Zwane says their investigations are ongoing.
"After the collision - it is alleged that the bodies of the people were burnt as well. So, we have opened cases of five counts of culpable homicide," Zwane said.
